During the second set of the French Open men’s final on Sunday, a most bizarre event occurred: a court invader ran into the field, waved a Barcelona flag and tried to put a hat on Roger Federer.

The Swiss tennis star pushed the intruder aside, and security personnel ran onto the court to subdue the man, but he tried to get away. After escaping the guards and jumping over the net, he was tackled, and then carried out.

Federer beat Robin Soderling 6-1 7-6 (7-1) 6-4 to complete his set of Grand Slam titles and equal Pete Sampras’s record total of 14.

Federer was a really good sport about it. Would be interesting if he actually wore the hat for a game or 2!

Horrible security....after Seles was stabbed that isn't remotely funny anymore. He should be jailed for 10 years as an example.
