Ryan Reynolds Recites Green Lantern Oath at Comic Con
So much happening at the 2010 San Diego Comic Con. Instead of answering directly a fan’s question, an actor re-enacted what it had felt like.
A young boy went to give a question to actor Ryan Reynolds at the panel of the upcoming film Green Lantern. The boy asked if what did the actor felt when he recited the Green Lantern Oath for the first time.
Reynolds, 33, was actually not planning to recite the oath at the event but relented after he saw the boy asked the question. So instead of answering, he recited the oath in dramatic fashion.
“In brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evils might: Beware my power — Green Lantern’s light!” The actor said it while doing the ring motion associated with the oath.
The kid also received an autographed memorabilia from the actor afterwards.
Green Lantern will be released June 17 next year. Others in the cast include Tim Robbins, Peter Sarsgaard, Blake Lively, Angela Basset and Mark Strong.
The actor’s first official Green Lantern Portrait was issued in Entertainment Weekly (pictured).
