Ryan Reynolds Reportedly Injured in ‘Green Lantern’ Set
UsMagazine reports that actor Ryan Reynolds was injured while shooting for the film The Green Lantern.
Reynolds, 33, who will play the title character, was in New Orleans for the shoot. It was reported that he separated his shoulder and “is in lots of pain”. The insider who gave the details also said that “He’s been keeping ice on it.”
The Green Lantern, which is based from the comic book of the same name appearing in the DC Comics, is set to be released June 17, 2011. Reynolds was cast July 2009 into the role beating out Bradley Cooper and Jared Leto. The film also includes Peter Sarsgaard, Tim Robbins, Blake Lively and Mark Strong who will play the nemesis Sinestro.
Reynolds recently starred in the hit film The Proposal opposite actress Sandra Bullock. He also played the character Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. There is now a plan that he will reprise the role in a movie of its own.
He is married to actress Scarlett Johansson, who incidentally plays another comics character Black Widow of Marvel Comics.
