Sandra Bullock as Best and Worst Actress
Could Sandra Bullock become the first actress to get an acting award from the Oscars and the Razzies in the same year?
The 45-year-old, who became famous for films like Speed, While You Were Sleeping, Miss Congeniality and Crash has been nominated as Worst Actress for All About Steve by the Golden Raspberry Awards or the Razzies and as Best Actress for The Blind Side by the Academy Awards, the highest award-giving body in the film industry.
The nominations came one day apart. The Razzies are to be given out March 6 and the Oscars on March 7.
Bullock had three films last year. Two became the most financially successful films of her career. Those are The Blind Side and The Proposal.
She had sweepingly won the Best Actress trophies for The Blind Side from the Critics’ Choice Awards, the Golden Globe Awards and the Screen Actors Guild Awards. After the Oscar nominations were announced, she finally got the adjective “Oscar Nominee” added to her name. She has been active in the entertainment industry since 1986 and has already a star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
