Peter Parker will go back to high school and will be eying a new release in 2012. This will feature a new cast; will be written by a new set of writers and created by a new set of film makers.

The project became dead after weeks of arguments between Raimi and the studio regarding who will be the villain for the fourth film. News later leaked out that John Malkovich will play as the character Vulture and Anne Hathaway as Felicia Hardy. Hathaway was later dropped as she was “expensive.”

The clashes drew the conclusion that the start date for the production will not be met and the release will have to be pushed back from May 6, 2011. Raimi, decided to leave after that assessment.

The franchise grossed more than 2.5 billion dollars worldwide.
