Squirrel flavored potato chips now on sale
Fed up with cheese and onion? Then try the new Cajun squirrel flavored crisps!
Walkers is bringing out 6 new flavors of crisps (“crisps” is British for “potato chips”) following its competition that asked the public to suggest new flavors.
The snacks were chosen by a panel of judges, including celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal, in Walkers’ Do Us A Flavour challenge.
Chili and chocolate, crispy duck and hoi sin, fish and chips, builder’s breakfast and onion bhaji have also made it to the finals of the public search.
The six finalists – who attended a ceremony in London on Friday – will each receive £10,000.
“The winner will get £50,000 and annual royalties of 1 per cent on sales of their flavour, meaning they may be able to retire on their winnings; 1 per cent of sales of BBQ flavour crisps amounts to £57,000 a year, according to Freud Communications, Walkers’ PR agency.”
