Stan Lee and MTV to Create New Comic Heroes
News surfaced that former Marvel president Stan Lee and MTV are planning to create a new group of comic superheroes. The deal is between MTV and Lee’s POW Entertainment.
Stan Lee has been quoted that the new group of heroes, collectively named as The Seekers, will have “a very high-concept plot, it’s a story such as you never have seen before, and it spans the centuries.”
The channel will hold a contest to find “undiscovered talents” who will write and illustrate the new series.
The Seekers will launch in the MTV Geek website. Future plans for the series includes television and film adaptation.
Lee, who helped create Spiderman, the Fantastic Four, the Avengers, Iron Man, The Hulk, Thor, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, and the X-Men, will also be creating 30 new characters to represent each new NHL team in a deal agreed with the league.
The artist and actor, who is already 87, will be next seen in a cameo role as a truck driver in the film adaptation for Thor, following the tradition of Lee appearing in film adaptations of his works.
