Steven Tyler Gets Teeth Implants After Fall
Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler needed emergency dental surgery earlier this week after he fell in his Paraguay hotel bathroom, forcing him to postpone a concert in the South American county’s capital of Asuncion.
According to media reports, Tyler had two teeth implants performed by a dentist at La Costa medical center, where the Aerosmith frontman stayed four hours before returning to his hotel. “Mr. Tyler had a small accident that prevents him from staging the concert tonight,” local concert organizer Marcelo Antunez said Tuesday. “He is fine, he’s in his hotel but he’s not able to do the concert.” The concert, which is part of the band’s Latin America tour, was rescheduled for Wednesday.
Tyler, 63, also suffered several cuts and bruises and needed several stitches. The accident occurred while Tyler was reportedly taking a shower at his Bourbon Hotel room in the capital city. Another organizer, Nicolas Garzia, reportedly said via Twitter that Tyler was dehydrated due to food poisoning when the accident happened.
