Sting and Wife Say Tawdry Sex Key to their Long Marriage
“Romantic? We like tawdry.”
So says Grammy winner Sting when asked about what was the most romantic thing that he and his wife film producer Trudie Styler have done to each other. The singer also says that tawdry sex is the secret to their successful marriage.
“We don’t get bored,” Styler stated in the February issue of Harper’s Bazaar. “Being apart juices the relationship,” Sting explained. “When we see each other, it’s romance. I don’t think pedestrian sex is very interesting. There’s a playfulness we have; I like the theater of sex. I like to look good. I like her to dress up. I like to dress her up.”
The couple usually spends several weeks away from each other due to the demands of their respective careers.
Sting, 59, and Styler, 57, have been married for 18 years (and almost 30 years together) and have four children. Sting has two children more from a previous marriage.
