Sugar Bowl 2011: Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Arkansas Razorbacks Live Stream (Free Online Video)
Sugar Bowl Live Stream: The sixth-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes will be playing in their 9th BCS bowl game when they meet No. 8 Arkansas Razorbacks tonight (8:30 p.m. ET) at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans for the 2011 Allstate Sugar Bowl.
This marks the first ever encounter on the field between the the two teams. The Buckeyes have one of the richest traditions in college football, but they are winless in nine tries against sides from the conference that has brought the past four national champions.
Arkansas, meanwhile, is participating in its first-ever BCS game. The team finished second to Auburn and has won six matches in a row since losing to the Tigers in October. The Hogs, led by quarterback Ryan Mallett, has been one of most excellent teams in college football’s toughest division. “Big Tex”, considered a potential first-round choice in next spring’s NFL draft, is a conventional drop-back passer who helped Bobby Petrino’s side average 338 yards per game through the air.
This is the 77th edition of the Sugar Bowl, which has been played annually since January 1, 1935. It is the second-oldest bowl game in the United States, along with the Orange Bowl and Sun Bowl. The Big Ten is still aching from a shameful performance on the first day of 2011, but Ohio State can soothe some of the pain by winning tonight.
UPDATE: Ohio State ended its nine-game losing streak to the SEC in bowl games with a 31-26 Sugar Bowl win against Arkansas.
