Sugar Bowl: Florida Gators vs. Cincinnati Bearcats

Tonight at 8:30 p.m. ET, the Florida Gators will take on the Cincinnati Bearcats in the much-anticipated Sugar Bowl at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans.

The Bearcats are on their second straight New Years Day appearance in a Bowl Championship Series match. They went for a perfect season of 12 wins, 0 losses, to top the Big East and they’re here to prove the legitimacy of their unbeaten record. The Gators, on the other hand, were ranked No.1 for the whole term until a final game defeat to Alabama.

The Sugar Bowl has been played annually since 1935, and is the second-oldest bowl game in the US, along with the Orange Bowl and Sun Bowl. It is a very intriguing game because of the impressive amount of future NFL talents that will be on the field.

Tonight will be the last college football game for Cincinnati’s Tony Pike and Andre Revels, but hopefully not their last time in an NFL site like the Superdome.

UPDATE: Tim Tebow threw for a career high 482 yards and had four touchdowns as the Gators handed Cincinnati its first loss of the season with a 51-24 victory in Sugar Bowl.
