Crystal Bowersox is reported to have wanted to quit the competition about a couple of weeks ago but was persuaded by host Ryan Seacrest to stay.

Lacey Brown left American Idol on Wednesday as she was voted off from Season Nine’s Top 11. Lacey’s rendition of Rolling Stones’ “Ruby Tuesday” on Tuesday night was forgettable as Idol judge Simon Cowell said.

Katie Stevens is in the “American Idol” top 12, along with Didi Benami, Siobhan Magnus, Paige Miles, Casey James, Tim Urban, Lee Dewyze, Crystal Bowersox, Michael Lynche, Lacey Brown, Aaron Kelly and Andrew Garcia.

As of this hour, ailing season 9 American Idol semi-finalist Crystal Bowersox is still in the hospital. Her doctors are deciding if she will be able to go back to the stage to perform and compete.
