Obama vows to go after Bin Laden

President-elect Barack Obama declared on Wednesday that his administration will go after Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden and stop the radical group from using the Afghan-Pakistani border as sanctuary to execute terrorist attacks.

Obama picks Desiree Rogers as social secretary

Barack Obama is taking another Chicagoan to Washington D.C.
Desiree Rogers, a friend of the Obamas’ will serve as White House social secretary, leaving her current job at Allstate Financial, a unit of the Northbrook-based insurance firm, where she is president of social networking.
