Taylor Swift and Kanye West to Perform at 2010 VMA Awards
Taylor Swift and Kanye West are set to perform at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards this coming Sunday, September 12.
But no, they’re not performing together.
The announcement came after the famous interruption made by West to Swift when she was trying to give her speech after winning Best Female Video award last year. West grabbed the microphone from Swift and declared that he believes Beyonce should have won the award.
The host of the ceremonies Chelsea Handler has earlier said that she wants to reunite the two at the stage. “We’ve never really seen them together since then,” she said.
West has repeatedly apologized to Swift and even wrote a song that he wished Swift would sing. He said he will sing it himself if she does not accept.
But West may not be the only one thinking about having a song connected to the incident. It was reported that Swift’s song performance would be about last year’s spectacle. The song is also said to be a part of her upcoming album Speak Now which will be released October 25.
