“The Hills” Final Season to Start in April

Heidi Montag, Kristin Cavallari, and company will be taking their final bow as MTV has announced that the sixth season of “The Hills” will be its last. The first of the final 12 episodes of the show will start on April 27, with MTV programming president Tony DiSanto promising “an organic culmination of this saga.”

With Lauren Conrad gone, focus of the final season will be on Cavallari, who will be hounded by drug abuse rumors. Another thing to watch in the final season is Audrina Patridge’s dating of singer Ryan Cabrera. Montag and Spencer Pratt, who are still trying to have their first baby, will also have their fair share of the limelight. In addition, Montag will get to show the result of her recent plastic surgery in the first episode.

Creator Adam DiVello said the first episode will show how Montag’s mother reacted to her surgery. “We pick right up where Heidi goes and sees her parents. And our cameras are there that minute the mother opens the door and sees her daughter for the first time.”

As for twists, will a Lauren Conrad appearance be in the offing? DeVello has this to say: “I always joked it would be nice to see Lauren get married.”
