The Sims 3 Invades Game Consoles
The hugely popular strategic life simulation video game The Sims 3 will be coming to not just one but all three major video game consoles with an additional option of a handheld console version.
Publisher Electronic Arts announced the latest versions Tuesday, April 27. The version for Playstation 3, XBox, Wii and DS will be coming out this fall.
The game has been originally released for Windows and Mac OS last June 2009. Further releases allowed the game to be downloaded from the Nokia Ovi Store for N-Gage mobile devices and Apple‘s App Store for iPhone and iPod Touch. There’s also a version for Windows Mobile and Android.
For the PS3 and XBox versions, users will be allowed to share in-game content with other users via a centralized server, a first in the game series.
The Wii version will have an exclusive city. There will be special missions and adventure quests and a multiplayer mini-game called Life Moments.
Finally, the DS version boasts of a creation tool that will enable players to customize their virtual family in in-depth details.
