The Strokes begin recording new album
It’s good news for fans of The Strokes. Julian Casablancas and the rest of the group have announced that they have entered the studio to work on their fourth album— the long awaited follow up to 2006’s First Impressions of Earth.
Visit the band’s official website and you’ll be greeted by a large, glowing picture of a “recording sign”. Joining them is Grammy Award-winning producer Joe Chiccarelli, who has previously collaborated with U2, The Whites Stripes, Bjork and Radiohead.
Not many details are available at the moment, but the New York indie icons say they are recording at Avatar Studios with Gus Oberg engineering the album.
Release date is yet to be announced.
