This tip jar accepts credit cards

Soon a cashless wallet will no longer be an excuse for not giving a tip.

A new invention, dubbed the DipJar, allows customers to tip baristas at coffee shops using their credit or debit cards. According to the New York Post, the machine resembles a traditional tip jar that has been programmed to charge you a dollar every time you sink your ‘flexible friend’ into it. So if you want to give a $10 tip to show your generosity or appreciation for a great service, you’ll need to swipe your card ten times. But don’t worry, the tips are timed so store owners can allot them to the employees who earned them.

The DipJar is currently being tested in a select number of NYC cafes and if successful, could expand to other locations and service-based businesses across the U.S.
