Radiohead’s Thom Yorke writes song for ‘New Moon’

Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has written a new song for The Twilight Saga: New Moon, the movie’s director has confirmed.

Chris Weitz has yet to hear Yorke’s composition but says it is almost certain to be included in the film.

“I selfishly want to put songs in by artists I love. And some the cast and crew also happen to love,” Weitz told our friends at, adding that Yorke’s effort will be included, “unless it’s sounds of him belching!”

Yorke’s involvement with the Twilight sequel is seen as crucial by many fans of the original movie, as Radiohead’s 15 Step is featured in the closing credits of the film.

Also definitely on board is indie singer-songwriter Bon Iver.

Weitz added that he is still hoping to have a Kings Of Leon song, while British alternative group Band Of Skulls have already been confirmed to contribute on the soundtrack.
