TV choreographer Alex Da Silva arrested for sexual assault


So You Think You Can Dance choreographer Alex Da Silva was arrested on Saturday for alleged sexual assaults on four of his dancing students.

According to the Los Angeles police, the 41-year-old dance instructor lured the women to his homes in North Hollywood and Van Nuys and used a ruse to get them into his bedroom where he raped them.

He is being held on $3.8-million bail, police said.

Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Da Silva won the World Salsa Dancing Championships in 2002 and 2007. Before his arrest, he was teaching at the Edge Performing Arts Center in Hollywood and the Mayan Club in downtown Los Angeles.
