DIY expert Ty Pennington to help restore a home owned by a U.S. veteran
America’s most trusted tool brand Craftsman launched a “Make a Difference” Tour together with non-profit Rebuilding Together and Sears Heroes at Home. The tour launched on April 27th and will be cruising around the U.S. all summer. They will be visiting sites where help is needed the most. Among the 20 scheduled stops are homes of U.S. veterans that need renovating, areas that have suffered damage during storms and hurricanes, local communities that could use help with their projects and also consumer events across the country.
Leading the team of volunteers is Ty Pennington, national TV personality and DIY expert. If you want to become a volunteer at any of those sites, be sure to sign up for Craftsman Club at Craftsman.com/MakeaDifference where you can get updates about the stops as well as see a live list of volunteer opportunities in your community. Members of the Craftsman Club will also be eligible for exclusive discounts.
At each location both volunteers as well as attendees will be given a chance to see hands-on demonstrations with Craftsman tools and learn about various latest Craftsman products. There will also be giveaways for everyone to take part of.
The “Make a Difference” Tour is meant to inspire Americans to bring out their tool boxes and start working with their hands for the sake of helping their communities. Their first stop was in Moonachie, N.J., where they helped to restore a home of a U.S. veteran, home that was left in a rather bad condition by Superstorm Sandy.
