UEFA Champions League: Arsenal vs. Standard Liege

The Gunners will be hoping to secure qualification into the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League when they face Belgian side Standard Liege at the Emirates stadium this evening.

After four games played in the tournament, Arsenal leads Group H with three wins and a draw for 10 points. A single point is all that is needed from the Gunners’ two remaining CL group games to progress into the next phase.

Arsene Wenger will have Kieran Gibbs back for tonight’s clash, however, Robin van Persie and Nicklas Bendtner remain sidelined.

The match kicks-off at 20:45 CET.

UPDATE: The Gunners advanced to the knockout phase of the tournament after beating Standard Liege 2-0 with goals from Samir Nasri and Denilson in the first half.
