UEFA Champions League: FC Barcelona vs. Inter Milan

Catalan giants FC Barcelona face a major test tonight (20:45 CET) as they welcome Inter Milan to the Nou Camp for a crucial UEFA Champions League clash.

Barca’s reign as champions could be over if they lose to the Italian side and group rival Rubin Kazan beats Dynamo Kyiv. A win for Inter this evening will be a disaster for the Spanish champions in any language.

A major worry for Pep Guardiola going into this match will be the amount of injuries he has to deal with. He will be deprived of Yaya Toure and Eric Abidal, who have swine flu.

But the bigger problem for Guardiola is the fitness of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Lionel Messi. The Swede failed to take the field in Barca’a weekend draw with Athletic Bilbao because of a hamstring problem, whereas Messi picked up a thigh injury in the same match.

UPDATE: Barca beat Inter Milan 2-0 on goals by Gerard Pique and Pedro Rodriguez to move from third into first in Group F.
