US Leg of U2 World Tour Cancelled
All of the 16 United States legs of the world tour of band U2 have been cancelled as lead singer Bono required eight weeks of recovery time.
Bono suffered a back injury while doing rehearsals for their concert in Germany. He was rushed in a hospital in Munich.
Band manager Paul McGuiness states, “Our biggest and I believe best tour has been interrupted and we’re all devastated.” He also said that Bono and the band understand the disappointment that the more than one million US ticket buyers may be feeling due to the latest turn of events. However, Bono’s full recovery is what the team is hoping for as of the moment.
“We’re working as fast as we can with Live Nation to reschedule these dates,” McGuiness assured the public.
The US leg will be pushed to 2011. However, the European legs of the 360 Degree world tour is still green lit.
Bono, 50, with real life name Paul Hewson, has already left the hospital.
