US Open 2010: Rafael Nadal vs. Novak Djokovic Live Stream (Free Online Video)
Nadal vs. Djokovic Live Stream: World number one Rafael Nadal takes on Serbias’ Novak Djokovic this afternoon (4:30 PM ET) at Arthur Ashe Stadium in the final of the 2010 US Open. We all know that Djokovic ended the hopes of a dream final in New York by eliminating Swiss second-seed Roger Federer in an epic five set marathon but it doesn’t mean that today’s match will be less exciting.
Djokovic fought back from two sets to one down and deny Federer an amazing seventh straight final appearance at Flushing Meadows. Had the Swiss Maestro won, he and Rafa would have played in a Grand Slam championship for the eighth time.
Nadal, on the other hand, defeated Mikhail Youzhny and is now aiming to become only the seventh man to win all four major tennis tournaments. The 24-year-old Spaniard is also bidding to become the first man since Rod Laver in 1969 to win the French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open in the same season.
“For me it’s a dream, I’m going to play for the first time in the final in the biggest centre court in the world,” Nadal told reporters in New York. “[But] I am not on the way to being the best in history – that’s a long way off. I don’t think I can reach Roger’s level.”
UPDATE: Nadal won his first U.S. Open crown to complete a career Grand Slam, beating Serbian third seed Novak Djokovic 6-4, 5-7, 6-4, 6-2.
