Usain Bolt won his third gold medal of the IAAF World Championships, getting a little help from fellow Jamaican runners in the men’s 4-by-100-meter relay, Saturday.
Bolt’s third gold was won in the last night of the competition without breaking the world record, unlike his first 2 runs.
“I didn’t run the best third leg I wanted to,” Bolt said after his team had crossed the line in 37.31 seconds. “I’m just tired. I was happy to get around the track and give Asafa the baton.”
Bolt broke both the world records in the 100 meter and 200 meter earlier in the week, and set three in Beijing last year.
