Van Halen sign to Interscope
Black Sabbath are not the only veteran rockers on the comeback trail. According to a report from Rolling Stone, Van Halen have signed to Interscope Records which includes touring, merchandising, marketing and recording.
The hard rock icons were originally thought to be joining Columbia Records, but that deal fell through simply because frontman David Lee Roth wanted to sign with a West Coast-based label.
It will be Van Halen’s first studio alum with Roth since 1984. Sammy Hagar replaced him in 1985 and the band last released an album in 1998.
