VIDEO: Very pregnant M.I.A. performs at the Grammys
A heavily pregnant M.I.A. got onstage at the 51st Grammy Awards and performed with Jay-Z, Kanye West, T.I. and Lil Wayne.
The British rapper performed at the ceremony in Los Angeles Sunday despite the fact she is nine months pregnant.
Queen Latifah introduced the group as the “Rap Pack,” and the crowd stood up as all five were revealed for their extraordinary performance of “Swagga Like Us.”
M.I.A.’s song “Paper Planes” was nominated for this year’s record of the year. The track was also featured in the Oscar nominated film “Slumdog Millionaire.”

MIA had Top Billing at the Grammys IMO, her performance gave me a rush . . . wish they woulda let her finish the Rap melody with the chorus “All I wanna do is take Ur money!”

As a mama-to-be myself, it was soooo fun watching her get out there and do her thing. I know some people might think it was weird. I think that’s because we’re just not used to seeing pregnat women embrace their individuality and wield thier personal power to such an extent. When we get pregnant, we all put on the same elastic pants and empire wasted tunics and tshirts with cute prints. And there’s nothing wrong with that! We do become adorable. But I love seeing a pregnant woman rock a bikini and continue living HER life – strong, sexy, vibrant, powerful and unapologetic.

It wasn't the fact she was pregnant – It was the atrocious outfit she was wearing. Calm it down – That comment wasn't a direct attack on MIA or you. Just said that the outfit made pregnant women look bad.
