WBC Heavyweight Championship: Vitali Klitschko vs. Kevin Johnson

Tonight WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko will put his title on the line against undefeated Kevin Johnson in Berne, Switzerland.

The Ukrainian three-time champion has an incredible record in his 40 fights. He has 38 wins with only two losses, and 37 of those victories have come by knockouts.

Johnson (22-0-1, 9 KOs), one of the few American heavyweight contenders, will concede height, weight and experience, standing six foot three compared to the six-foot-seven Klitschko.

Johnson has spent six years as a professional, but he has few names of any note on his record and has never fought for a title. However, the 30-year-old challenger has a very fast jab, in addition to a two inch reach advantage over the champ.

In this match, Johnson has to move like never before to stay away from a devastating jaw breaker because Klitschko is stronger both mentally and physically.

The Ukrainian fighter has taken few risks since regaining the WBC crown from Samuel Peter last year, making successful defenses against Juan Carlos Gomez and Chris Arreola.

UPDATE: Vitali Klitschko retained his WBC heavyweight crown with a unanimous decision over Kevin Johnson. Two judges gave him all 12 rounds, while another somehow found a round to score for the American. You can watch Vitali Klitschko vs. Kevin Johnson Full Fight Video here.
