White House Invites Glee Cast for Easter Event
The cast of the hit and critically acclaimed musical show Glee has been invited by the White House to perform at the annual Easter Egg Roll.
Sources said that First Lady Michelle Obama and First Daughters Sasha and Malia are avid fans of the show. The event will be held on April 5.
The show, which probably couldn’t say no to a personal request from White House, changed the cast’s busy schedule to accommodate the request. Tapings of episodes were moved around so that they can make the trip to the nation’s capital.
Another good news for the cast was announced when the show’s first soundtrack album Glee: The Music, Volume 1, shot to number 1 spot in the UK album charts.
Last year, the Black Eyed Peas performed at the event.
Glee has been renewed for a second season and fresh episodes will resume on April 13. Auditions are currently being held for new characters that will be introduced.
