Whitney Houston Denies Hospitalization was Drug-Related

Whitney Houston has denied speculations that she may be using drugs again as she was released from a hospital in Paris on Wednesday due to nose and throat problems.

Houston said in an interview with People magazine that her health is good and that she is looking forward to resuming her concert tour. The 46-year-old singer postponed some dates on the European leg of her tour due to what she says were allergies. “My health is terrific, but this is a time when I get a lot of allergies.” Houston said there was no truth to tabloid reports that she has relapsed.

She is expected to perform again on April 13 in Birmingham, England. The tour, which recently finished its Asian and Australian legs, will continue through June.

Houston’s Manchester, England, concerts originally scheduled on April 8 and 9 have been moved to June 16 and 17, while her Glasgow, Scotland, show has been reset to May 1 from the original April 11 play date.
