Wimbledon 2009: Serena Williams vs. Victoria Azarenka
Posted by Sherwin

Second seed Serena Williams will play Victoria Azarenka today on Centre Court for the right to join Wimbledon’s version of the Final Four.
The 27-year-old American followed her sister into the quarterfinal round with a 6-3, 6-1 victory against unseeded Daniela Hantuchova of Slovakia.
Azarenka has been considered the third most likely player to prevail in this year’s tournament after the Williams sisters. The 19-year-old Belarusian beat Serena in the most recent of their three encounters— in straight sets in the final of Miami earlier this year. She arrived at SW19 at a career high No. 8 after winning two other titles and reaching the quarterfinals at Roland Garros, where she lost to top-ranked Dinara Safina.
UPDATE: Serena Williams is back in the Wimbledon semifinals after beating Victoria Azarenka 6-2, 6-3.
