Wimbledon Final 2010: Rafael Nadal vs. Tomas Berdych Live Stream (Free Online Video)
Nadal vs. Berdych Live Stream: World number one Rafael Nadal will try to win his second Wimbledon title this afternoon as he takes on Tomas Berdych, the Czech with the lethal forehand and crunching serve who defeated Roger Federer in the quarterfinals and Novak Djokovic in the semis.
The Spaniard has beaten Berdych the past six times they’ve met — an amazing record that will weigh heavily on the 12th-seed player. Berdych knows Rafa will try to take the initiative right from the start of their encounter on Centre Court and he is determined to wage war.
The 24-year-old from Czech Republic reached the last four of the 2010 French Open, but this is his first Grand Slam final in 28 attempts. Berdych has never played with the confidence he has displayed in this tournament, and if he wins today, he would become only the third man in the Open era to defeat three of the top four seeds en route to a Grand Slam crown.
In Rafa’s three previous Wimbledon finals, he faced Federer. The ‘Man from Majorca’ lost the 2006 and 2007 championship matches against the ‘Swiss Maestro’, and then crushed Federer in an epic five-set battle in 2008. At 24, he already has seven Majors, with five of them at Rolland Garros.
“It’s a dream for me to be back here and winning important titles like Rome, Monte Carlo, Madrid and Roland Garros,” Nadal told reporters. “[But] being back in the final of Wimbledon is amazing for me.”
The game stars at 2:00 p.m. London time (9:00 a.m. ET).
UPDATE: Nadal defeated Berdych in straight sets, 6-3, 7-5, 6-4, for his eighth Grand Slam title and second in three years at the All England Club. You can read the full story HERE.
