Wimbledon 2009: Michael Llodra crashes into ball girl (video)
French tennis ace Michael Llodra was forced to quit his second-round match against Germany’s Tommy Haas after a heavy collision with a ball girl.
15-year-old Erin Lorencin was crouching beside the net when the world No. 137 stretched to meet the ball, crashed into the umpire’s chair and fell on top of her.
Fortunately, the girl seemed to suffer no serious injuries, and the 29-year-old gave her a hug before going back to the baseline to resume the competition.
Soon after, however, Llodra was forced to concede the match and limped off court for treatment after only 20 minutes of the set had been played.
