Woods OK But Slightly Injured After Car Accident
Golf sensation Tiger Woods was taken into Health Central Hospital for sustaining facial lacerations after a car accident early morning Friday. He was later released in good condition.
Around 2:25 am, the athlete hit a fire hydrant and a tree while driving his Cadillac SUV near his home in Windermere, Florida. His wife Elin Nordegren rushed to the car, took two of his husband’s golf clubs to smash a back window and get her husband out. How she did that remains undisclosed.
When the police arrived two minutes after the incident, he was already lying in the street. They already noticed the cuts from his lips, blood in his mouth, and the player going in and out of consciousness.
The Florida Highway Patrol car is already investigating the incident. No charges have been filed yet. As the holidays were just over, it was suspected that Woods might be under alcohol influence. This was later ruled out.
He was released later that day from the hospital in Ocoee, Florida in good conditions. His publicist said that Woods suffered only minor injuries.
