World Cup 2010: Brazil vs. Ivory Coast Live Stream [UPDATED]
This is definitely one of the most highly anticipated games of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Five-time champions Brazil will be tested by the aggressive players of Ivory Coast (Cote d’Ivoire) at Soccer City in Johannesburg especially after the return of Didier Drogba.
Drogba will be in the starting XI for the West Africans tonight (20:30 CET). The 32-year-old Chelsea striker broke his right arm in a warm-up friendly against Japan on June 4 and had played less than half an hour as a substitute in the team’s goalless draw with Portugal in its opening Group G clash.
When asked if his health would be an issue, Drogba said: “I think everyone saw that I gave the best of myself against Portugal…I’m afraid of nothing and I feel really good both physically and mentally.”
Brazil, meanwhile, leads the group with three points. The Samba Boys defeated North Korea 2-1 on Tuesday after a scoreless first half, thanks to goals by Maicon and Elano. Ji Yun-Nam scored for the East Asian side in the 88th minute.
The South Americans’ execution in the first-half was less than impressive, but they did enough in the second half to win and can now take control of the ‘Group of Death’ with another victory.
“This game will be tough because the Ivory Coast have such a good team, Brazil’s veteran midfielder, Gilberto Silva told reporters. “But we are very confident that we can do well and win that game as well.”
UPDATE: Brazil showed why they are among the favorites to win the 2010 FIFA World Cup when they beat Cote d’Ivoire 3-1.
