World Cup 2010: Chile vs. Switzerland Live Stream [UPDATED]
Chile will face Switzerland at Port Elizabeth this afternoon in a match that could decide the first place in Group H. A victory by either side pretty much assures qualification to the Round of 16 of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
La Roja defeated Honduras 1-0 on Wednesday through a late first-half goal from Club America winger Jean Beausejour. Switzerland, on the other hand, caused the biggest upset of the 2010 World Cup yet when they beat favorites and European champions Spain 1-0 through Gelson Fernandes’ strike in the 52nd minute.
However, the biggest question heading into this game for the South American side is the health of Zaragoza forward Humberto Suazo, who could step into the starting lineup if he is declared fit prior to kickoff. Suazo, the leading scorer in the CONMEBOL qualifying, did not feature in Chile’s opening victory over Honduras due to a left thigh injury.
The game starts at 16:00 CET (10:00 a.m ET).
UPDATE: CSKA winger Mark Gonzalez scored on a header in the 75th minute to give Chile a 1-0 victory over Switzerland.
