World Cup 2010: Portugal vs. North Korea Live Stream [UPDATED]
The Seleccao drew 0-0 against Ivory Coast in a tense opening encounter last Tuesday. Chelsea hitman Didier Drogba didn’t start, but did enter as a second-half substitute for the Elephants. The North Koreans, on the other hand, were defeated by five-time champions Brazil 2-1 after a scoreless first half. Maicon and Elano scored for the South Americans, while Ji Yun-Nam netted for the “Chollima” in the 88th minute.
North Korea state television said it will air today’s match against Carlos Queiroz’s side. The East Asians were pretty impressive against Brazil, as they claimed a moral victory in earning a defeat.
Meanwhile, Chelsea midfielder Deco has been ruled of today’s game. He injured his upper right thigh in Friday’s training, and underwent treatment during the following two days but with no improvement.
UPDATE: Portugal thrashed North Korea 7-0 to end the Chollima’s hopes of reaching the next round. The win moves the Seleccao into second place in Group G with four points, two behind Brazil.
