World Cup 2010: Spain vs. Chile Live Stream [UPDATED]
The reigning European champions could be joining Italy and France on the first flight home if they don’t get their act together. Vicente Del Bosque’s men must win to be sure of progression, while a draw would only be good enough for them to reach the Round of 16 should Switzerland fail to beat Honduras.
Spain’s shock 1-0 defeat to Ottmar Hitzfeld’s side was one of those days for the squad, failing to create enough chances despite dominating possession. And La Furia Roja will need their big game players like David Villa, Fernando Torres and Cesc Fabregas to be on the right track.
There are a lot of permutations in Group H. Chile has six points, with Spain and Switzerland both on three points. A victory or a draw will see the South Americans win the group, but a defeat could see them get knocked out of the tournament on goal difference if the Swiss beat Honduras by a wide margin.
The match kicks-off at 20:30 CET (2:30 p.m. ET).
UPDATE: Spain defeated Chile in Pretoria and finished top of their group. New Barcelona signing David Villa scored a goal and set up another to spark the Spaniards to a 2-1 victory. Despite the loss, La Roja advances and will face five-time champions Brazil in the second round on Monday.
