World Cup 2010 Qualifier: Norway vs. Macedonia

Norway hosts Macedonia FYR tonight at Ulleval Stadion, Norway’s national ground, for their World Cup 2010 qualifying match.

Saturday’s loss against Scotland at Hampden Park has left the Red Lions floundering. The Scots kept their South African dream alive with a 2-0 victory against the former Yugoslav republic, thanks to second-half goals from Scott Brown and James McFadden.

Both Norway and the Macedonia need Holland to beat the Scots, which would give either side the chance to hop into second spot.

This match is scheduled to take place sometime after 7:00 p.m. CET (1:00 p.m. ET).

UPDATE: Norway’s hopes of qualifying for South Africa remained alive as they claimed second spot in UEFA qualifying Group Nine with a 2-1 victory against Macedonia.
