World Cup 2010 Qualifying: Costa Rica vs. Trinidad and Tobago

The Soca Warriors will go for their second win in this present World Cup qualifying campaign when they take on Costa Rica at the Ricardo Saprissa Stadium in San Jose this evening.

However, Trinidad and Tobago’s dreams of coming to South Africa are over. Despite having a strong attacking squad, they have failed to find much offense since the final round of qualifying began.

Costa Rica, on the other hand, need to win this game and then travel to face the Americans in Washington on Wednesday to have any realistic chance of securing an automatic qualification for football’s biggest showcase.

Game time is 10:00 p.m. ET.

UPDATE:Alvaro Saborio scored twice and set-up another as Costa Rica thrashed the Soca Warriors in San Jose. The win boosts Ticos’ chances of automatically qualifying for South Africa.
