World Series: Phillies vs. Yankees (Game 3)

Defending champion Philadelphia Phillies continue their title defense as they play Game 3 of the best of seven World Series against the mighty New York Yankees.

With an 11-1 record at Citizens Bank Park over the past two postseasons, you can pretty much bank on Charlie Manuel’s side feeling warm and fuzzy going into tonight’s game.

The Yankees evened up the series on Thursday, scoring a 3-1 victory after A.J. Burnett put together an outstanding performance. And tonight, New York will give the ball to their veteran southpaw as Andy Pettitte takes the bump.

The 37-year-old has been on point in recent outings, hitting his spots and keeping hitters off balance. And he should be able to throw a good game against the Philadelphia lefty dominated lineup that has hit only.243 against left-handed pitchers this season.

The match kicks-off at around 8:00 pm.

UPDATE: The Yankees have taken a 2-1 World Series lead in their best-of-seven clash with the Phillies thanks to an 8-5 win on Saturday night.
