Last night the match was delayed 80 minutes because of heavy rains but in the end, the Yankees took a 2-1 Series edge after beating Charlie Manuel’s squad 8-5.

According to, Game 3 was the most-watched World Series fixture on a Saturday in five years. The game drew 15.4 million viewers, a 57-percent increase over last year’s Game 3 between the Phillies and Rays.

New York now gets to turn to their ace left-hander CC Sabathia this evening, who has already proven he can dominate teams on three days rest. A win in Game 4 would put the Bronx Bombers one victory away from the franchise’s record 27th Fall Classic championship.
