Barbie still looks good at 50

Barbie Millicent Roberts celebrates her 50th birthday today and parties will be taking place across the globe to mark the occasion.

The bombshell doll was launched by American company Mattel on March 9, 1959, and has been sold in 150 countries.

One of Barbie’s major attractions over the past five decades has been her clothes, created by some of the world’s most famous designers, including Gucci, Calvin Klein, and Versace.

Throughout her life, Barbie has been a teacher, a dancer, a rock star, a model, an astronaut, a doctor, a diplomat, and much more.

She’s had the kind of life most girls could only dream of. And after all these years, she still shows no signs of aging.

Happy Birthday, Barbie!
