2010 French Open Live Stream + Schedule

French Open 2010 Live StreamFrench Open 2010 Live Stream: The 109th edition of the French Open, the second Grand Slam event of the year, kicked off Sunday (until June 6) and most tennis fans are looking forward to two possible blockbuster match-ups: Roger Federer vs. Rafael Nadal and Venus vs. Serena.

Fierce rivals Federer and Nadal have just been restored as world No. 1 and No. 2 following the Mutua Madrilena Madrid Open, where the Spaniard defeated the Swiss Maestro in straight sets in the final. The same can be said of the Williams sisters on the women’s division of the sport, but neither has been to the final in Paris since they played each other there in 2002.

Rafa is the clear favorite every time he steps on ‘red dirt’. With 28 tour-level clay-court titles, the 23-year-old from Majorca, Spain has moved into level pegging with Ivan Lendl and Ilie Nastase in modern day tennis. Before his shock defeat last year by Sweden’s Robin Soderling, Rafa had won the Roland Garros four years running.

Federer, meanwhile, returns as defending champion looking for major title No. 17. But Rafa holds an astounding 14-7 lead in meetings with the Swiss, having won six of the last seven match-ups.

Does an American have a chance in the men’s division?

The burden of lifting the U.S. flag falls largely on Andy Roddick. The 27-year-old had his best showing in Paris last year, when he reached the fourth round for the first time. However, the Americans are definite underdogs in this tournament.
