6.0 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Guatemala
An Earthquake hit the Guatemalan coast near the El Salvador border at 9:40 a.m. local time Monday.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake recorded a magnitude 6.0 in the Richter scale. The epicenter was 60 miles (96.56 km) southeast of Guatemala City with a depth of 64.2 miles (103.31 km).
There are no immediate reports of people being injured. The quake comes just days after a devastating earthquake in Haiti that has killed thousands of people.
