The 61st Emmys had some few surprises, but it was mostly full of repeats as several of last year’s winners gave comeback performances. This year’s ceremony was hosted by Neil Patrick Harris of “How I Met Your Mother”.

NBC’s “30 Rock” won the big one for the third year in a row, while AMC’s “Mad Men” won its second as did Glenn Close for best drama actress for FX’s “Damages” and Bryan Cranston for “Breaking Bad.”

HBO dominated the TV movies and miniseries categories, and “Grey Gardens” won as the best TV movie. Jessica Lange took home the best actress award, while Ken Howard won as best supporting actor.

Toni Collette was a “surprise winner,” winning the best actress in a comedy series for Showtime’s “United States of Tara.”
