A winning smile

Breastfeeding Contest Peru

A crown-wearing infant grins after winning a breastfeeding competition organized by Peru’s Health Ministry in Lima on Tuesday (August 14). Babies who suckled on their mother’s milk for the longest amount of time without stopping emerged as winners. The contest was in line with the government’s thrust of promoting breastfeeding as a practical and effective means of infant nourishment.
