Apple Tops Customer Satisfaction Survey for Seventh Straight Year
Customer satisfaction for personal computers and high-end electronics such as televisions are “at or near all-time highs”.
Apple has topped again a customer satisfaction survey for PC-makers for the seventh straight year. Its rating actually increased by 2% to reach 86% this year. All other PC makers, including the Windows-based ones, also increased their ratings. No brand suffered a decrease in the survey. However, none of them can topple Apple from the top spot. Second placers Dell, Acer and are all tied at 77%.
The average rating for the personal computers industry is at 78%, an all-time high, and 4% higher than last year.
The increase in Apple’s rating came in the wake of the success of its latest gadget, the iPad, a tablet computer.
Meanwhile, home electronics, such as televisions DVD and Blu-ray players, customer satisfaction rose to 85%, the highest also for that category.
The survey, called American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI), is a highly-recognized economic report being handled by the University of Michigan.
