Australian Open Results: Federer and Tsonga advance to semifinals
Davydenko has beaten Federer in the first set where the Swiss just scored 2 games to 6 but Roger bounced back, winning 13 games in a row to take the second and third sets. Davydenko never got a score in the third while the world number one continued his great form through out the game, 2-6 6-3 6-0 7-5.
The Swiss Maestro made history by making his way to a 23rd consecutive major semi-final.
After the Federer-Davydenko match, tennis fans were locked into another exciting match between former Australian Open finalists Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Novak Djokovic.
Tsonga lost the first and second sets but recovered from it and eventually won the match, ousting Djokovic to reach the semis 7-6(8) 6-7(5) 1-6 6-3 6-1.
Federer and Tsonga will face each other in the semi-final on Friday. One of them will be facing the winner of the Cilic-Murray clash for the Australian Open 2010 finals.
